 Our February 19-06 LOVE CONCERT featured Tenor John Matz. On February 27, 2005, he joined Placido Domingo on stage at the Palm Beach Opera Gala "Evening of Splendor" performed at the Kravis Performing Arts Center. This past summer Mr. Matz joined the Israeli Philharmonic for performances of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. This Fall finds Matz in the title role of Gounod's FAUST with the Tulsa Opera. Thereafter, he appears in an Operalia Gala Concert in Santo Domingo before flying to the Oslo Opera for LA BOHEME. The New Year finds John Matz in Bordeaux for LA TRAVIATA and in Hamburg for two series of performances in MADAMA BUTTERFLY. Puccini's opera serves as the American tenor's debut in Japan in June 2006. Dr. Robin J. Arrigo accompanied Mr. Matz. Dr. Arrigo received her Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance and a Master of Music Education Degree from Florida State University. She also holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Accompanying and Chamber Music from the University of Miami, Florida. Robin regularly appears throughout South Florida on Artist Series Recitals. Her most recent performance was with the Palm Beach Symphony as a soloist performing the Rondo in D for piano and orchestra by Mozart. This past spring she appeared on the Regional Arts Series with Mr. John Matz at the Kravis Performing Arts Center. She has also worked with Helen Donath, Jullian Baird, Samuel Sanders and Roberta Peters, and is currently the pianist and harpsichordist for the Palm Beach Symphony. After the performance, our Artistic Director commented "Dr. Arrigo is a performer's dream accompanist"
